DIG Davis Marak ने एक interview में बताया कि investigation के शुरुआती दौर में ही पुलिस को शक हुआ था कि wife भी मामले में involved हो सकती है। और technical analysis से यह शक और पुख्ता हुआ। DIG ने बताया “Preliminary जांच में पता चला है कि शायद wife का किसी और से affair था और उन्हीं लोगों से husband की हत्या करवाने का contract दिया गया था।”
किन आरोपियों को Arrest किया गया?
Meghalaya Police ने सबसे पहले UP के Lalitpur से एक आरोपी को गिरफ्तार किया। उसकी जानकारी के आधार पर Indore से दो और suspects पकड़े गए। DIG Marak ने बताया कि multiple teams अलग-अलग राज्यों में भेजी गईं थी suspects को track करने के लिए। और इसी दौरान Sonam ने खुद UP के Ghazipur जिले के Nangish थाने में surrender कर दिया।
कैसे किया था मर्डर प्लान?
जब DIG से पूछा गया कि क्या ये पूरी trip pre-planned थी सिर्फ murder को अंजाम देने के लिए — उनका जवाब था “ऐसा लगता है। लेकिन अभी हम इस बारे में confirm नहीं कह सकते, क्योंकि interrogation proper तरीके से शुरू नहीं हुआ है। सभी आरोपियों को transit remand पर लाया जाएगा और तभी असली सच सामने आएगा।”
DIG Marak ने बताया कि Raja का शव deep gorge (गहरी खाई) से बरामद हुआ और उस वक्त पूरे Meghalaya में भारी बारिश हो रही थी। Body की recovery के लिए Meghalaya पुलिस, SDRF, NDRF और दूसरे स्पेशलिस्ट agencies को deploy करना पड़ा।
